Within the framework of Groß Schönebeck project in the North German Basin of Germany, multiphysics between deep geothermal reservoir, boreholes, heat exchangers and power plant is crucial to study lifecycle behavior of each component thereafter a later coupling to study lifecycle and recovery of the overall geothermal system. Study is divided into geothermal water cycle, surface heat exchanger cycle and power plant cycle. Geothermal water cycle is weighted firstly and began with a standalone 3D deep geothermal reservoir model composed of fractures, wells and fault zones. Subsurface fluid flow is coupled to heat transfer in porous medium. This cycle will be linked via an interface to surface heat exchanger cycle, before another further coupling with the geothermal power plant cycle.
