Modeling Overview: Acoustics

The Acoustics Module is an add-on product to the COMSOL Multiphysics® software that expands the features and functionality for modeling acoustics applications, including speakers and microphones. In this previously held webinar, we provide a brief introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics® and the Acoustics Module. It is applicable to recent versions of COMSOL Multiphysics®, although small changes may exist between versions.

In the webinar we discuss the different types of acoustics devices and applications that can be modeled, such as pressure acoustics, aeroacoustics, acoustics–structure interaction, thermoviscous acoustics, and elastic waves in solids, to name a few. Then, we complete a full walkthrough demonstration of building a model of a loudspeaker driver.

This webinar is relevant to recently released versions of COMSOL Multiphysics®. You may notice small differences between versions. You can learn more about the capabilities for modeling acoustic devices and applications with the Acoustics Module here.
