Different positions different peak value

I was about the simulate a sensor application.

It is a simple case. It only contains a sphere and a block. I put the sphere as the environment and the block as a chip antenna.
The material of both are air.

The problem is, when I put the block at (0,0,0), the peak electric field would be about 30, but when I put the block at (0,0,0.25), the peak electric field declines heavily, and even worse when the block is placeD at (0,0,0.5). But I think the peak value should not change when I change the position of the block. There are no other parameters to affect this result.

I hope someone could help. Thanks.

Zimu,

Some initial thoughts:

1. Your mesh is much too coarse to resolve the wavelengths at your specified frequency. Thus, large numerical errors or failure to converge will result.
2. I don't believe you have set up your PML correctly either. But to keep things simple, you might want to specify a simple scattering boundary condition on the spherical surface, for now.

Try addressing those issues and see if it helps.
