Values of Relative and Absolute tolerances

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi all

I am working on a problem that solves for Pressure (p) using the Darcy' Law and the displacements (u) from Solid Mechanics. Should I keep different values for absolute and relative tolerances for the two variables since their orders of magnitudes are 1e5 and 1e-3 for pressure and displacements, respectively?

Also, does it have anything to do with the check box "Update Scale absolute tolerance" in the Time Stepping node in the Time dependent Solver?

Thanks and Regards
