How to use custom material properties in physics settings and results?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi All,

My aim is to build a template for moisture transport. For that purpose I want to specify and use custom material properties, like moisture storage function and water vapor diffusion resistance factor in my models.

If I specify a constant local variable, for example M0 = 1, into material's Basic-properties, I can access that material property everywhere in the model with expression: material.def.M0.

However, if the local variable is coupled to any function it is not accessible anymore.

I know that I could create functions to Global Definitions or Model Definitions, but then I need to add for each material separate node into the physics. The advantage of using the material properties would be that I could have only one node and recycle the material properties by saving the material to material library.

Do you know is this possible?

Best Regards,

Sakari Lukkarinen
