Electric field propagation axis

Hi,

I am new to COMSOL and I have been using it for a few days. I created a model for an optical waveguide (Cylinder). after computation, the electric field was not propagating (z axis was the propagation direction). When I modified the geometry and made the x axis to be the propagation direction, the problem is solved. Why is that? You can also see the attached snapshots.

It's only possible to make guesses if you don't post the model.

One guess is that you are using the port boundary condition incorrectly.

I have attached the model, you need to extract it with 7zip program.

Perhaps someone can decompress that file. I can't.

Consider following the instructions below about reducing the mph file size, and then posting the file.

I have reuploaded it with zip compression. Could you please check it?
