I need help in this simulation:

Im heating water in a square container of side measuring 2.5 cm and depth 1 cm using a continous wave laser of 1 W. The aim is to determine temperature at distances of 5 and 10 mm from the source. How should I model this. Im a begineer and really confused.

Any help/ suggestions will do.....
