Capillary filling changing area

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear all,
I have been working on a simple 2-phase flow through a capillary. The next step in my model is for the fluid (water) to leave the capillary to a duct with a higher surface area.
The model solves the capillary part fine, and at the point of the area change just stops and gives the following error:

Nonlinear solver did not converge.
Time : 0.001617806971730043
Last time step is not converged.

Note: the exact model solved without any problems with just the capillary (before changing geometry)
