cannot start matlab in comsol on linux

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am running comsol 3.5a and using matlab 2009a on a linux redhat OS. The terminal does not recognize the command "comsol" nor "comsol matlab". In the installation manual, it says to change the matlab installation path in the comsol startup file in the value "mlroot".. Right now, this value is blank. My hunch is that the matlab interface was installed with comsol. Is there a way to confirm if it was installed? if it was not installed, is there a way to install it now without having to reinstall the entire program?

Thanks in advance
