COMSOL is seeking a Key Account Manager to join the sales team in Bengaluru office who will be able to inform, sell and support engineers, scientists, on the usefulness of simulation using COMSOL® software.
Primary Responsibilities
• Sales penetration in large commercial organizations
• New sector sales development
Pre-Sales Leads Qualification and Prospect Support
• Use your insight, communication skills, and
technical acumen to proactively qualify leads marked as
prospective customers.
• Methodically identify and qualify simulation
requirements for prospective customers through
meetings and demonstrations.
• Perform systematic research for new vertical development.
• Work on top-down approach with key stakeholders to achieve organization wide adaptation of COMSOL software.
• Participate in onsite and web-based customer meetings, workshops, and other marketing/sales events arranged by the
team.
• Articulate business cases for the unique capabilities offered
by COMSOL, explain licensing models, and help negotiate terms
and conditions with legal and procurement departments
wherever necessary.
• Support working with prospective customers on evaluations
of the COMSOL® software, or facilitate such evaluations
through working in collaboration with COMSOL applications
engineers.
• Have the willingness and ability to travel for limited periods
of time to meet current and potential customers in order to run
COMSOL-sponsored events and activities in India.
Post-Sales Support and Customer Relations Management
• Promote effective technical support together with COMSOL
applications engineers on the use of the COMSOL® software for
customers’ applications.
• Communicate with existing customers on a regular basis to
manage their relationship with COMSOL, keeping them
informed about new features and technology in the COMSOL®
software, as well as events and other useful activities.
• Find new opportunities to sell existing and new COMSOL®
software and technology to existing customers, their colleagues
and other departments within their organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
• A bachelor's/master’s degree in engineering, physics, applied
mathematics, or a physical science. Engineering degree in
mechanical, electrical, or chemical will be preferred.
• Prior sales experience for minimum three years.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualification
• MBA with sales experience preferred.
• Sales experience in Engineering Software Solutions
(CAD/CAE) is preferred.
• Course work based on one or more of the following or its
equivalent: Computational analyses, modeling, and
simulations through numerical methods, such as the Finite
Element Method (FEM/FEA), to be used in applications, such as
fluid mechanics or dynamics, transport phenomena, heat and
mass transfer, thermal engineering, thermodynamics, structural
mechanics or analysis, acoustics, chemical or electrochemical
reaction engineering, applied physics or mathematics, or any
application that may be mathematically defined by PDE or
ODEs.

developers who occupy the top echelons of their areas of
expertise. You will see and participate in the development and
operation of many and varied cutting-edge new technologies.
As a key account manager, you will work with some of the most
preeminent engineers and scientists in their respective fields, who are simulating innovations and ideas for the future.
