                                                    Hi,
Just define a step function you like in Definition -> Function -> Step and add it to Electric field component boundary or elsewhere in RF/Electrostatics

Thank you very much. I can define a step function. However, I still do not understand how should I relate this function to my initial or boundary conditions. I actually need to stimulate my system with a time-dependant electric field or boundary condition.

If your step function has the name step1, call it step1(t), multiplied by whatever constant you have in the boundary condition. Or anywhere you need it. Is this what you asked?
