Update for LiveLink™ for MATLAB® on macOS with Apple Silicon Processors Applicable to COMSOL Multiphysics® Version 6.2

Problem Description

When trying to solve a model in COMSOL Multiphysics 6.2 when LiveLink™ for MATLAB® is installed on macOS with Apple silicon processors gives the following error message:

Failed to load Library: libcsmumps.dylib

Solution

This issue has been fixed in Update 1 of COMSOL Multiphysics 6.2

To install the update, do the following:

1. From the Help menu in COMSOL Multiphysics, select Check for updates to start the update process. (Alternatively, go to https://www.comsol.com/product-update/6.2 and follow the instructions under Additional Instructions)
2. Start COMSOL Multiphysics
3. If you have previously cleared the MATLAB® application path preference, go to the Options menu and select Preferences
4. In the Preferences window select LiveLink Connections. In the LiveLink™ for MATLAB® section enter the MATLAB® application path
5. Click OK to save the changes and restart COMSOL Multiphysics
