bug in 2D plot?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

In a Transport of Diluted Species model (2D, just one rectangular domain) I defined the velocity field as following: x component = y*(1-y), and y component = 0. Obviously, a surface plot of the x component of the velocity field looks like the figure 1 (see attached file). But, if a non-uniform mesh is used the surface plot obtained is totally unexpected (figure 2). Line graphs along the x and y direction retrieves the correct field velocity (figures 3 and 4). Is this only a bug on the post-processing or is affecting the calculations?

Thanks

Mauro

Hi

indeed it looks strange, have you tried in v4.1, with latest patch, there are several issues corrected since the early 4.0

Good luck
