Refining 1D mesh

Hello Community:

In COMSOL 4.2a how do I refine a mesh in 1D? It only allows up to extremely fine, how do I refine mesh even more than that. User-defined option does not work.

“Custom” Setting should work. Make sure you select the “Maximum element size” box and specify a small number.
