COMSOL, Inc. is seeking a full-time copy editor to join our Marketing department on site in Burlington, MA.

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all marketing content is clear, consistent, audience appropriate, grammatically correct, and aligned with COMSOL’s marketing objectives. This is a marketing role first and an editing role second. Success in this role is evaluated based on the clarity, consistency, and effectiveness of the marketing content produced, and its ability to support COMSOL’s broader marketing initiatives.

As part of our Content team, you will edit technical copy produced by colleagues within the team and around the company. We publish a mix of different content types, and your main role as a copy editor will be to check and improve readability and ensure the content is consistent with our corporate style guide and brand voice, enhancing the reading experience for our scientific and engineering-oriented audience.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and review marketing copy for use in digital and print channels, including blogs, articles, landing pages, emails, social posts, slide decks, videos, and promotional materials
  • Ensure grammatical accuracy, spelling, and punctuation
  • Improve clarity, flow, structure, and readability while preserving technical accuracy
  • Collaborate closely with various Marketing teams to refine messaging and ensure content aligns with COMSOL’s brand voice and goals
  • Help maintain and evolve our style guide to support consistency at scale

Minimum Qualifications

  • Exceptional command of the English language, grammar, syntax, and information organization
  • Strong editorial judgment, with the ability to improve clarity and intent, not just correctness
  • High attention to detail and consistency
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
  • Openness to feedback and collaborative revision in service of marketing goals
  • Current eligibility to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship for employment-based visas will be offered for this position

Helpful Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of editing B2B marketing or business-facing content
  • Comfort working with technical subject matter, including the ability to edit science or engineering content for clarity and audience relevance
  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels and content formats
  • Experience editing PowerPoint presentations
  • Positive, driven team player with strong communication skills
