COMSOL & Coffee at Forskningsparken
Learn how multiphysics modeling and simulation can benefit different industries and research areas during this event! You will also get an overview of COMSOL Multiphysics®, a finite-element-method-based software that can be used to simulate multiple interacting physics phenomena, such as fluid flow, heat transport, and chemical reactions.
Schedule
09:45–10:00: Registration and Welcoming Remarks
10:00–10:30: Introduction to COMSOL®
Get an overview of COMSOL Multiphysics®, including its built-in Model Builder, Application Builder, and Model Manager.
Topics include: * Use cases of simulation within different industries * How to set up a multiphysics model
10:30–11:00: User Presentations
Hear from experienced users on how multiphysics simulation is leveraged in their development processes.
Presentations include: * "Multiphysics Simulations of Catalytic Membrane Reactors for Efficient Hydrogen Production" by Simen Aamodt, Coorstek Membrane Sciences AS * "Application and Experience with COMSOL® Within Commercial and Research Projects" by Wojciech Poradowski, Katalyzator AS
11:00–11:30: Surrogate Models and Digital Twins
Simulation-data-driven surrogate models in COMSOL Multiphysics® significantly increase computational speed while maintaining the same accuracy within their applicable data ranges as high-fidelity multiphysics models, making them useful for efficiently approximating simulation results. Additionally, surrogate models can be used to build faster digital twins.
In this session, learn about the functionality in the software for creating and using surrogate models and digital twins.
11:30–12:00: Lunch
Enjoy complimentary food and drinks!
COMSOL® engineers will be available to answer any modeling-related questions you may have. You can also use this opportunity to discuss your modeling projects.
