Automating Your Modeling Workflow in COMSOL Multiphysics®
COMSOL Multiphysics® version 6.4 introduces explicit structural dynamics for nonlinear dynamic analysis of high-speed events such as impacts and blasts, as well as the new Granular Flow Module, based on the discrete element method (DEM), for simulating grain and powder flow. Solver performance has been significantly improved with the CUDA® Direct Sparse Solver (cuDSS) for NVIDIA® GPUs, providing severalfold speedups for a wide range of applications.
Additional updates include new geometry and meshing tools, enhanced visualization features, and LLM-assisted modeling through integration with GPT-5™ and other compatible large language models. The Application Builder and Model Manager have also been updated to further support efficient simulation app development and collaborative workflows.
