Modeling a Ferro fluid

How have you modeled Ferro fluid? Mixture model or though defining properties.

Hi,
I have been modeling ferrofluids as single phase fluids so far with magnetic body force as external force in N-S equations. You can also use concentration equation to solve for concentration of ferrofluids to visualize the effect of external force.
