Hi everyone,
i have a problem starting Comsol 4.0a on my computer. If I try to start the classkit version from the shortcut on the desktop the programm seems to start (comsol start screen appears) but after a few seconds the programm terminates again. In the installation directory i found two error files named: hs_err_pid4240 and hs_err_pid3864. Both deal about the java runtime environment:
1. A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
#
# EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x00000000591a4234, pid=4240, tid=2476
#
# JRE version: 6.0_20-b02
# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (16.3-b01 mixed mode windows-amd64 )
# Problematic frame:
# C [fltextrenderer.dll+0x14234]

2. A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:

The system I want to run Comsol is Windows 7 64bit.

Can anyone give me a hint why the programm doesn't start and what I can do to overcome this ...???

Cheers
Chris
