Back to Events Calendar

Heat transfer is an omnipresent phenomena impacting a range of vehicle components. Multiphysics simulations can help analyze and optimize the design, performance, and durability of automotive systems.

During this webinar, you will learn how to model heat transfer as well as its interaction with different physics phenomena with the COMSOL Multiphysics® software. We will discuss how engineers can analyze thermal effects on components such as engines, batteries, vehicle electronics, and brakes to optimize their designs for durability and cost. You will learn how to couple heat transfer with solid mechanics, fluid flow, and chemical processes to model cooling in engines, frictional heating in brakes, battery cooling, and thermal fatigue in various components. We will also discuss how heat affects the performance and durability of diesel particulate filters. This webinar includes a live demo and will conclude with a Q&A session with the instructor.
