COMSOL 6.2 and Windows 7

Description

COMSOL 6.2 is not supported on Windows 7.

During installation of COMSOL 6.2 on Windows 7, installation of .NET 4.6.2 may fail. If this happens you may be able to proceed by using the cross-platform user interface. It is available as
C:\Program Files\COMSOL\COMSOL62\Multiphysics\bin\win64\comsolxpl.exe

You can also try installing .NET 4.6.2 manually by downloading it here. With .NET 4.6.2 installed, you may be able to run C:\Program Files\COMSOL\COMSOL62\Multiphysics\bin\win64\comsol.exe

With the CAD Import Module, import of most file formats will not work. Also the LiveLink software functionality may be very limited.

Very limited testing of COMSOL 6.2 on on Windows 7 has been done.

We strongly suggest you update to Windows 10 or Windows 11 to experience the full functionality of COMSOL 6.2.
