Three-Phase Mixer
Application ID: 111121
This model simulates the separation and mixing of a suspension with light and heavy particles. Initially the distribution of both particle populations is homogeneous throughout the fluid. Before the impeller starts rotating, the fluid and the two particle populations tend to separate since the light particles rise to the top of the tank and the heavy particles sediment at the bottom. When the suspension is stirred, the three phases mix again.
This model example illustrates applications of this type that would nominally be built using the following products:
however, additional products may be required to completely define and model it. Furthermore, this example may also be defined and modeled using components from the following product combinations:
- COMSOL Multiphysics® and
- either the CFDモジュール, or 燃料電池&電解槽モジュール and
- either the CFDモジュール, or 伝熱モジュール
The combination of COMSOL® products required to model your application depends on several factors and may include boundary conditions, material properties, physics interfaces, and part libraries. Particular functionality may be common to several products. To determine the right combination of products for your modeling needs, review the 製品仕様一覧 and make use of a free evaluation license. The COMSOL Sales and Support teams are available for answering any questions you may have regarding this.
