The optimization process finds the values for the variables that are able to change our model in order to fit some criteria. Changes introduced in the model may be related to the geometry or to the parameters used to describe the physical behavior (e.g. mechanical or thermal properties).
During this 4-day online training, we will describe the tools provided by COMSOL Multiphysics® in optimization analysis. We will start with a brief theoretical introduction and continue by showing practical examples related to several areas of physics. To teach this course, we will utilize a combination of instructor- and self-guided hands-on exercises as well as theoretical and practical lectures. After 2 days of class, there will be a 1-day gap where trainees work on assigned exercises and explore features in the software related to their own application areas.
